Approved Tutor

Approved Music Tutors. All instrumental and vocal teachers on the Approved Tutors Register are DBS checked through City of York Council.

York Music Centre

York Music Centre runs a wide range of group music making opportunities for all ages (3 to 18) and all abilities - every week during term time.

CPD

Continuing Professional Development Courses (CPD) are available throughout the year.

About York Arts Education

York Arts Education is the arts education service for City of York Council and is the lead partner for the York Music Hub.  We are responsible for providing a first point of access to music for all children and young people (aged 0 - 18), progression routes, workshops, projects, instrumental hire and professional development for teachers.  We engage musically with several thousand young people every week and are committed to providing opportunities of the highest quality for all.   We offer bursaries for instrumental and vocal tuition, free instrumental hire and free places at York Music Centre for children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
